This home designed by Michael Hampton was featured in Architectural Digest for its farmhouse architecture mixed with 19th century flair. Michael has married multiple patterns and styles in this space; soft blue floral wallpaper mixed with ivory walls, a cream patterned drapery, warm wood tones, and a traditional aztec rug.
I’m having a hard time explaining what I love most about this dining room. It may be the subtle pattern mixing, exposed wood beams, or the organic window coverings mixed with an industrial style light fixture. The blend in this space has perfect harmony, and that’s why I wanted to create this look at a more affordable price point than the premium lines Michael Hampton sourced from.
Linen chairs are everywhere right now but what’s going to make them more unique is to have the legs in a lighter wood tone or with a lighter wash. For accessories, scout them out at antique markets and thrift stores! No need for something brand new and polished when going for the rustic look. Finally, if you don’t have the ability to create faux wood beams, bring that rustic feel into the space through floating wood shelves.
Have a great weekend!
